Romania's national federation of farm producers has urged the EU to approve the cultivation of more genetically modified crops (GM), reports the newswire, All Headline News.
The federation's chairman has been quoted as saying that the EU should come out of its conservative attitude that is hindering the economic prosperity of the continent in the absence of new technologies.
